Fourier TTS
₹1.80 per 1,000 characters.
And ₹18 an hour to transcribe a recorded call. Both from one rupee wallet.
Smallest.ai alternative
Voices made for phone calls in Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil, Telugu and English, on our own GPUs in India.
AI agents from ₹1 a minute.¹
Why switch
Everything a phone call in India needs, from one team, priced in rupees.
₹1.80 per 1,000 characters.
And ₹18 an hour to transcribe a recorded call. Both from one rupee wallet.
Hindi, English, Gujarati, Tamil and Telugu. And the Hinglish in between, mid-sentence.
The listening, the thinking and the voice are ours: Fourier STT, Gemma 4 26B and Fourier TTS.
Ask for 8 kHz μ-law or A-law and send it straight down the line. Or take 48 kHz PCM for everything else.
When you want the whole call, the same key and wallet run our voice agents.
Real lines from Fourier TTS, one request each, unedited. Pick a language and press play.
Hear itBoth of us build for Indian calls
Smallest sells its own speech, voice and agent runtime, in dollars, with a Mumbai region and more Indian languages than we have today. We sell the whole phone call as one price in rupees, with the line included on pay as you go, and our voice on its own at ₹1.80 per 1,000 characters.
Smallest and we have made the same bet: Indian callers deserve models trained for them, not a global model with Hindi bolted on. Smallest runs its own speech recognition, its own voices and an agent runtime, with a region in Mumbai. We run our own speech recognition, our own voices and the open Gemma 4 26B, on our own GPUs in India, where every call runs.
The difference is in how the minute is sold. Smallest prices each layer in dollars and adds a hosting fee. We sell the whole call as one rupee price.

Each bar is one minute as Smallest’s own pages price it, layer by layer, beside ours from our price list. A hatched end is a part of the call their price leaves out and publishes no number for, so it has no length.
Smallest prices a call layer by layer: ~$0.009/minute for speech to text, ~$0.09/minute for its voice and the language model at cost, which its page sums as $0.09 - $0.21/minute depending on the models. Hosting is a flat $0.01/min on top, and the line is a rented number or your own carrier. Enterprise is quoted as low as $0.05/minute, with hosting custom.
From smallest.ai/pricing, checked . Ours from our price list.
The chart shows the plan you choose above beside the price it pairs with: our T1 and T3 beside Smallest’s volume price, our T5 beside its pay-as-you-go price. Without that choice, every bar is listed.

A rented number is $10 a month, or you bring a carrier over SIP, at cost. Enterprise is quoted as low as $0.05 a minute, about ₹4.75, with hosting on a custom quote.

For 10 lakh characters of speech, Lightning V3.1 costs ₹1,662 and Lightning V3.1 Pro ₹1,852. Fourier TTS costs ₹1,800, on every plan. So on price alone, Smallest’s standard voice is a little below ours and its Pro voice a little above.
An hour of recorded audio is ₹17.09 on Pulse pre-recorded and ₹22.79 real-time. Ours is ₹18, with speaker labels included, charged once when the job is done.
One thing to know before you compare: Smallest’s own pages disagree with each other on a few of these numbers. Its docs list higher Pulse rates than its pricing page, and text-to-speech concurrency reads as 15 streams on the pricing page and 1 request in the docs. We charted the pricing page, and we link both.

Spot something out of date? Tell us. Six platforms in one table: Voice AI platforms compared.
Which to pick
Sometimes it's them. We'll say so.
Languages, first. Lightning V3.1 accepts ten Indian languages and lists 115 Hindi voices. We have five languages live and four voices. Smallest also sells on-premise deployment, zero data retention and a 99.99% SLA on Enterprise, and its agents can transfer a call to a person today, which ours can’t yet.
Moving
Your code stays. Three values change.
Step 1
Look around with no sign-up. When you are ready, create a key in Developers.
Step 2
The base URL, the model and the voice. The rest of your OpenAI code stays as it is.
Step 3
Four voices, each speaking Hindi, English, Gujarati, Tamil and Telugu.
Fourier TTS speaks OpenAI’s speech API. Point your client at our URL, change the model name, pick a voice and you’re done. Ask for 8 kHz μ-law and the audio is ready for a phone line. For live calls, our WebSocket endpoint takes text as your model writes it and sends audio back a sentence at a time. The OpenAI-compatible TTS guide walks through the first request.
Take twenty lines from your real calls, with names, rupee amounts and the English words your customers drop into Hindi, Gujarati, Tamil or Telugu. Render them on both, play them blind to people who speak the language every day, then once more over a phone line. The Hindi TTS comparison lists the other Hindi voices and what they cost.
If you’d rather hand us the whole call, our agents cost ₹1 a minute on the volume plan.

Smallest's pay-as-you-go cascade is $0.09 to $0.21 a minute for the models, plus $0.01 hosting. So 1,000 minutes come to ₹9,496 to ₹20,891 ($100 to $220) at the ECB rate, before a rented number or your carrier's line. On our pay-as-you-go plan, 1,000 minutes cost ₹5,000 with the line included.
Lightning V3.1 is $0.175 per 10,000 characters, which is ₹1,662 ($17.50) for 10 lakh at the ECB rate, and ₹1,852 ($19.50) on Pro. Fourier TTS is ₹1,800, on pay as you go and on Business.
Smallest routes each request to the nearer of Mumbai and Oregon, and you can pin a request to api.india.smallest.ai when the data has to stay. Every one of our calls and requests runs on our own GPUs in India, with nothing to pin.
No. ₹1 a minute is a whole phone agent on our volume plan. Transcribing a recording costs ₹18 an hour of audio.
Custom voices: talk to us. Smallest's pricing page lists cloning as Custom on Enterprise and not on pay as you go, and its docs describe cloning from a short sample, so check which applies to your plan.
